ONE BEAUTIFUL FEBRUARY 29

A leap year is a year containing one additional day in order to keep the calender year synchronised with the astronomical year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, a calender that had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. Sources WIKIPEDIA.

But is that the truth? Do you think adding a day every four year accounting for the 0.25 day plus the 365 days a year, could correct the overtime or drift? Well, we experience a totally strange seasons now a day. We credit it to Global Warming. What actually it is?

There comes the beauty of lunar calender. It waits to see all seasons in all months. Do you think solar calender is going wrong in telling you the seasons? Feel free to comment on this.. You are welcome to RAINYRELIEF to record your comment. And its a February 29th today.

INFORMATION SECURITY PART 1 INTRO

How much do you care for your information? Actually nothing. How much do u think you should care for your information?

Information like your date of birth, your adress - both your post box and email, your phone numbers - cell phone and land line, your banking information - account number, credit card or debit card information, internet banking credentials, your passwords, and the list goes on. All these are your valuable assets. We can see a small demo. A search query, your name plus your date of birth, sorts the search result to just five entries, if it showed ten thousand entries with just your name. Thats the power of correlated information. Here we are talking not about hiding anything, but about caring everything. Now a days, information theft happens, at most places like public computer centers, social networking sites, photocopying centers, fake surveys and so on. Spywares and keylogger softwares may have installed on public computers, aimed for collecting login credentials of users.  And the consequences of your stolen information may be catastrophic.
Your stolen information will be misused for a cellphone connection, a credit card, source of spreading fake and threatening messages or something like that. A little care could save us.
  • Just keep watching if you give your credentials for photocopying
  • Watch when you give your credit card for swiping
  • Verify the authenticity before disclosing your information for a survey
  • Setup tight privacy and security settings for your social networking profiles
  • Use https while browsing
  • Do not use public computers for logging into your online services especially email and banking unless you are sure about the system security
  • Check the address bar and verify the site before entering your login credentials
  • Check the security certificates because fake sites appear like original sites

Do not worry. Just take care.
